Soothe & Restore Lotion

I have tried everything you can possibly think of or read about on my lesional KP bumps on my arms. I was self conscious and embarrassed since my bumps would cause whiteheads. I decided to try this product on a whim after reading about it on Reddit. I have been using it for probably 5-6 months now and have seen a DRASTIC difference, in the best way, with the bumps on my arms. This is the only product that has given me these results!!! So happy to have found it and thank you to the creator for doing the research and creating this product for people like me!

I have had KP since I hit puberty and it has steadily become worse over the years. I have it all over my arms and legs, and patches on the sides of my face and back. I have tried all of the common lotions and body washes in addition to exfoliation. Nothing has ever made a difference and I gave up previously.

I did not use this product religiously. I used it maybe 3x a week when I remembered. The first thing that I noticed after 2-3 uses was how much SOFTER my skin was! I have spent years hiding under long sleeves and pant legs due to the embarrassment of my rough and bumpy skin. I began exfoliating in addition to using this lotion and my skin feels smooth like it did when I was a kid. The visible redness of the bumps has not disappeared but it has certainly been reduced. I did not use the product 2x a day as directed so I can only imagine how much more effective it would be if I had a better routine. I will keep purchasing this product and I hope that they never stop production.

In my late 30s my KP spread from my upper arms and thighs to my stomach, chest, neck, forearms and a little on my face. I felt extremely hopeless and depressed every time I looked at my skin. I felt like KP would eventually take over my whole body and there was nothing I could do about it. Nothing has made a meaningful difference in the decades since I was first diagnosed in middle school

This is the only product that has EVER made my skin smoother and less red. It did take 3 or 4 weeks to fully take effect. I'm using this on my arms, chest, neck and face. I only do my arms 1 time per day, the rest get a layer after showering and before bed. I do still get the occasional small flare up, or random bump, but nothing like it used to be.

For full disclosure, I stopped all physical exfoliation when I started using this. I switched to a gentle body wash. Prior to starting this cream I was using Cetaphil urea and SA creams everyday, I have continued to use these as well as Smooth KP.

Please never stop making this wonderful lotion. My one critique is that the tube cap orifice is too big. I switched the top to one with a smaller opening and it's less messy/goopy.

I've had terrible KP as long as I can remember. The only thing that ever helped it was tanning, and that caused its own problems so now I stay out of the sun. My KP is on the backs of my arms with occasional small flares on my legs. My body hair is very fine and blonde, it seems like the hairs aren't strong or coarse enough to push through, and causes keratin plugs to build up. Unfortunately I pretty much always pop them as it seems like they won't unplug on their own. I also have a ton of vascular redness (goes away when I press on it) on my arms and redness from inflammation and scarring. Before I started Smooth KP about a month ago, I was managing it with 42% urea gel several times a day, plus physical and chemical exfoliation, but I was only keeping it from being absolutely terrible. I believe Smooth KP is getting to the root of the problem and changing my skin completely. The KP is almost gone from my left arm, maybe a couple small bumps a week and redness has lessened. My right arm was always much worse so that's still taking some time, but I am getting significantly less bumps and it's continuing to improve. I still have a lot of redness but I'm hopeful this will continue to help!

I have tried every single Kp treatment available. I have tried dermatologist compounds from specialty pharmacies, literally every “rough and bumpy skin” product on the market. Retionols, retin A, 70% Urea creams, every exfoliating cream, scrub or device on the market. I tried laser hair removal and STILL battled the red bumps and lumps. I haven’t worn shorts or a shirt above the knee in 10+ years. I gave up and started having my legs tattooed so I didn’t feel embarrassed about my legs. I found this lotion after following the Keratosis sub on Reddit. I figured what is the harm in losing less than $30? This works. I honestly can’t believe I’m saying this. I f-ing works. I’ve only been using it a week and honestly only use it once a day until the recommendation of 2-3 times a day. There are no words. I still can’t believe it. If you are holding back not wanting to throw money at another failed experiment I say just TRY this!! It so much cheaper than anything I’ve ever used and I am still in shock. Bought 4 more tubes today just in case. I really can’t explain how much this has changed my life.
